Alliance TF200 – 200 Watt Landscape Lighting Transformer

The Alliance TF200 is a professional-grade 200-watt low-voltage transformer built to power landscape lighting systems for patios, walkways, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, and garden features. It's the control center of any 12-volt LED lighting installation — converting standard 120V household current to safe 12V output that powers path lights, step lights, wall wash fixtures, and accent spotlights across your hardscape project.

Alliance is a contractor-preferred brand known for reliability, clean engineering, and features that make installation and service straightforward. The TF200 combines a durable stainless steel cabinet, toroidal transformer core (quieter and more efficient than standard laminated cores), and built-in photocell with digital timer — so the system turns on at dusk and off at your scheduled time without additional controllers or smart-home add-ons.

    • Transformer type: Toroidal (efficient, low-noise operation)
    • Cabinet: Stainless steel (weather-resistant, outdoor rated)
    • Controls: Built-in photocell + digital timer
    • Power cord: 5' heavy-gauge with grounded plug
    • Compliance: DOE and CEC compliant, ETL listed
    • Installation: Wall-mount near GFCI outlet; connect low-voltage wire runs to terminal block
    • Suitable for: Residential and light commercial landscape lighting systems

    Sizing Guide

    • The 200W capacity powers approximately 20–30 LED path/step lights (typical LED fixtures draw 4–8 watts each)
    • Never load a transformer beyond 80% capacity for longevity — plan for ~160W actual fixture load max
    • For larger systems or longer wire runs, consider stepping up to a higher-wattage model or splitting into multiple transformer zones

  • HOW TO USE

    Installation Tips

    • Mount within 5' of a weatherproof GFCI outlet, off the ground and out of irrigation spray
    • Use 12-gauge or 10-gauge direct-burial landscape wire for runs over 50'
    • Split fixtures across multiple wire runs (hub method) rather than daisy-chaining long distances — this prevents voltage drop at the far end
    • Program timer for 4–6 hours after dusk for typical residential use
